Kitchen Remodel Process

A successful kitchen remodel follows five distinct phases to keep the project on schedule, on budget, and up to our high standards.

Design & Planning

Define project scope, timeline, and target budget.
Finalize floor plans, structural changes, and mechanical adjustments.
Select and order finish materials (cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures) early to prevent schedule delays.

Pre-Construction & Permitting

Select and schedule sub-contractors aligned with the project schedule.
Submit plans to the local building department to secure permits, if necessary.
Orders construction materials and schedule for delivery.
Recieve, inspect and inventory finish materials.

Demolition & Rough-In

Demo: Tear out existing fixtures, walls, flooring, and cabinetry as needed.
Structural Modifications: Frame new walls, headers, or drop-ceilings.
Rough-In Trades: Run new electrical wiring, plumbing pipes, and HVAC ductwork inside the exposed framing either by contractor or sub-contractors.
Rough Inspections: Pass city/county trade inspections before closing up walls.

Trim & Finishes

Enclosure: Install insulation, drywall, tape, mud, and texture.
Hard Finishes: Set cabinets, lay flooring, and install countertops, tile surrounds and floors, and trim/casing.
Paint & Fixtures: Apply primer and final paint, then install light fixtures, plumbing trim, outlets, and hardware.

Closeout & Final Walkthrough

Schedule and pass final inspections.
Perform a pre-final walkthrough to identify any cosmetic flaws or minor adjustments.
Complete the punch list (touch-up paint, cabinet adjustments, hardware tweaks).
Conduct the final walkthrough to approve finished work, review warranty details, and sign off on project completion.
